What is the real cause of illness - a different view

Numerous case reports by clinicians who have used EFT with clients, and by individuals who have applied it to their own lives, have been published over a period of more than 25 years,. These accounts indicate that many people who try EFT/Tapping benefit from it, often in an impressive manner (see Research Papers below).

In addition to the thousands of individual records that have accumulated, independent research has substantiated the beneficial effects that EFT has on fears and phobias, pain, depression, anxiety, and many other troubling conditions.

Research Papers on Traditional EFT and Pain

Self-administered EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) in Individuals With Fibromyalgia: A Randomized Trial Full Research Paper
The sample size was small and the dropout rate for the therapy group was high. Therefore the surprisingly good results for that group have to be interpreted with caution. The next research step would be to personally interview, examine, and diagnose a much larger group of participants before and after the intervention period, and motivate them to practice EFT daily.
This could be accomplished by using good role models who have benefited from EFT. As EFT is a simple, quick, inexpensive, accessible self-administered method without apparent negative side effects, which can even be taught by the internet, it is well worthwhile for practitioners to recommend EFT to their patients with fibromyalgia (pain) as either a complementary process or as another option when customary treatment fails.
