EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple yet remarkable healing system that reduces the stress that underlies much disease. It has proven itself successful in many scientific studies. It works on a variety of health issues, psychological problems, and performance issues, even those that have been resistant to other methods. It has now been learnt and applied by millions of people all over the world.

EFT is often called tapping - it involves tapping your fingers onto various positions - onto your other hand, around your head and on your upper body.

During a treatment session both the therapist and client tap... while the therapist makes positive verbal statements and the client simply repeats them.

Numerous case reports by clinicians who have used EFT with clients, and by individuals who have applied it to their own lives, have been published over a period of more than 25 years,. These accounts indicate that many people who try EFT/Tapping benefit from it, often in an impressive manner.

How Does it work?
  • Hypnotherapy has been used to block pain during hospital operations for many years - it is possible to use the mind to control the body and its reactions to injury and pain.

EFT helps the mind to alter the body's reactions to pain.

  • It is now accepted that emotional stress contributes to many physical symptoms, from high blood pressure to heart disease. Emotional stress can also contribute to physical pain.

EFT has the ability to assist in the release of emotional stress from the body therefore alleviating pain

  • Therapists using EFT have noticed that there is a direct link between emotional pain and pain in the physical body.

EFT can be used to address both physical and emotional and pain simultaneously.

EFT moves beyond an understanding that stress can effect illness and pain in the body - it offers opportunities to use this knowledge in a powerful and productive way.

In addition to the thousands of individual records that have accumulated, independent research has substantiated the beneficial effects that tapping and talking during an EFT session can have positive effects on fears and phobias, pain, depression, anxiety, and many other troubling conditions.
